** This skid plate bolts to the Engine / Tranmission skid plate. YOU MUST HAVE the Engine / Trans skid plate to install this one. **

Put some REAL protection under your Xterra or Frontier.

The factory Nissan "skid plates" are better than nothing, but not much better. They are flimsy stamped sheet metal, and still leave a lot uncovered.

ShrockWorks skid plates are made from laser cut 3/16" steel plate with bends the right places to add even more strength.

This skid plate will replace the factory "splash guard" just forward of the front suspension cross member on the the Xterra and Frontier. This is a good investment in peace of mind.

A common question is whether this skid will work with the ShrockWorks stainless steel "Front Bumper Skid plate." It will. That skid requires the Shrockworks winch bumper. It actually bolts to the bumper itself and sits forward of this this under body "Front" skid plate.
